
The Center for Science, Teaching & Learning (CSTL), a nonprofit based in Rockville Center, presents Spooky Fest at Tanglewood Nature Preserve on Oct. 15, 21, 22, 23, 28, 29 and 30, from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m.
Spooky Fest is CSTL’s only fundraising event, held every October before Halloween. The preserve is decorated with haunted woods and a zombie maze. The event also features a food truck, crafts for kids, face-painting, a mystic den with fortunetelling and a Halloween theatre.
Buy tickets at the gate from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m.
$10 for non-spooky attractions only; $15 for all inclusive attractions (includes scary, and non-scary)

The Tanglewood Nature Preserve is 18 acres, a small slice of nature with ponds, paths, forest and New York’s only science-based preschool. It has animals from all over the world, including alligators, red foxes and two barred owls.
